Comenzó la edición 19 del Tour Femenino Colombia Potencia de la Vida 2023, en carrera que celebró su primera fracción entre los municipios de Mocoa y Orito, en el Putumayo, en jornada que tuvo 115 kilómetros de recorrido, y que vio como primera ganadora de etapa a la vallecaucana Kimberly Escobar del Team SuperGiros Alcaldía de Manizales.
Escobar se llevó el triunfo de etapa luego de tres horas, cinco minutos y 30 segundos, luego de superar en los metros finales de la etapa a Elizabeth Castaño, del Colombia Pacto por el Deporte GW Shimano, que cruzó la meta en el segundo lugar.
Para Kimberly fue una jornada redonda en la que logró la camiseta como ganadora de etapa; la de la clasificación por puntos y además recibió la camiseta amarilla del Ministerio del Deporte, que la acredita como la primera líder de la competencia.
Katherin Montoya, ganadora de los dos primeros sprints especiales de la jornada, es la primera líder de esta clasificación, mientras que Castaño recibió la camiseta de la montaña.
Este jueves se disputará la segunda fracción de la carrera con una contrarreloj individual de 15 kilómetros, entre Villagarzón y Mocoa, que será fundamental para las aspiraciones de las corredoras que aspiran al título de la competencia.
