Vélez superó en la línea de llegada a Erick Parra, de Talentos Colombia-Bicicletas Strongman, luego de dos horas, 35 minutos y un segundo, tiempo con el que completó los 115 kilómetros dispuestos en el recorrido entre Mocoa y Orito.
El actual campeón de ruta juvenil demostró el gran nivel que ha tenido a lo largo de la temporada, que le permitió además coronarse en la Vuelta a Antioquia Juvenil, al obtener las camisetas de etapa, de líder y de la clasificación por puntos, en la que se ubica primero, con 15 unidades.
El boyacense David Sebastián Riaño se enfundó la camiseta de la Gobernación de Putumayo como primer líder del Sprint Especial, mientras que Erick Parra recibió la de Manzana Postobón, como líder de la montaña.
Este jueves se disputará la segunda fracción de la carrera que reúne a los mejores corredores juveniles de la temporada, cuando se celebre una contrarreloj individual de 15 kilómetros, entre Villagarzón y Mocoa, que será fundamental para las aspiraciones de los corredores que aún se mantienen en competencia.
